Head Coach
Born and raised in Gulf Shores, Coach Hop graduated from Gulf Shores High School, playing varsity softball for 6 years and winning a state title in 2007. She went on to play at The University of South Alabama from 2009 to 2012. She was apart of the first conference championship in school history. Following her collegiate career, Coach Hop took over Spanish Fort High School Softball in 2015. She took them to the first regional appearance in seven years. She returned home to Gulf Shores High School in 2018. Coach Hop had her jersey retired and was inducted into the Gulf Shores Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018. Married to Coach Steege in 2015, they have Maverick, their 4 year old daughter.
Varsity Assistant
Coach Hopkins played baseball at LBW and moved to Gulf Shores in 1990. Since living in Lower Alabama he has coached softball at The University of Mobile, Foley High School, Robertsdale High School, and is returning for his second stint at Gulf Shores High School. He helped lead Gulf Shores High School to the State Championship in 2007. Coach Hopkins is the Parks & Facilities Manager for The City of Gulf Shores. Married to Brook Hopkins they have Callie and Cooper at the Middle School as well as Haley and Haden who graduated from Gulf Shores High School.
Coach Mo played Division I softball at The United States Military Academy, where she was Conference Rookie of the Year and Pitcher of the Year; first time in Patriot League History. She finished her career at Hofstra University and graduated in 2015. Following college Coach Mo played professionally in Australia for a year before joining The University of Alabama Softball Staff where she was the Graduate Assistant for two years and The Volunteer Assistant for one year. They won two SEC Championships and two WCWS Appearances. Coach Mo and her husband, Anthony, moved to Gulf Shores in 2021 with their golden retriever, Fenway. They have recently added a son, Beaux
Assistant Coach
Coach Goff played basketball at Pisgah High School, graduating in 2015. He was a manager for Jacksonville State Gamecocks Softball from 2018 to 2020. They won two OVC Titles appeared in the NCAA Tournament championship game. He assisted the Pisgah High School Softball team where they appeared in three state championship games. Moving to Gulf Shores in 2021, Coach Goff works within the Special Education Department at Gulf Shores High School. Coach Zach will be married to Reagan Watson this summer!
